RBLI's Cenotaph to Arboretum Challenge 2024 · 1 October 2024 to 30 November 2024 ·

Walk, run or wheel 4 miles, 6.3km or 9,000 steps every day during October or November, to represent the distance between Britain’s two national memorials to the fallen. Cover the distance from the Cenotaph in London to the Arboretum in Staffordshire.

Story

Over 30 days in the lead-up to Remembrance this year, the CBRE Armed Forces Network have put forward a team to run and walk the equivalent distance from the Cenotaph in Whitehall to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire – 190km / 262,000 steps in total.

When I initially put my name forward, I was hopeful my busted heal (technical diagnosis) would have recovered, but my physio has given me explicit instructions that I still MUST NOT run (and try to not walk unless it is really essential). So, a twist to the challenge - I pledge to cycle 5 times the distance of the runners and walkers over the 30 days – what the physio doesn’t know, won’t hurt, right??

Please donate below to support our fundraising and help Royal British Legion Industries to provide safe homes, jobs, and specialist support for veterans and people with disabilities. Please do spread the word and forward to anyone you think would be supportive.
