Lands End to John O’Groats Drive · 24 June 2026

Forget-me-not Chorus supports those living with and alongside dementia through the power of song. Inclusive singing sessions in community, care home, hospital, and online settings empower participants to use and share their voice: improving health, wellbeing, challenging stigma, and bringing joy.

Story

In January 2025, life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) — a condition that affects behaviour, personality, communication, emotions, inhibitions, social interactions, memory, independence and much more

With so much uncertainty about the future, but while I’m still able to drive, I decided I wanted to complete something very important to me — the journey from Land's End to John O’Groats, a drive I previously completed for a different charity 30 years ago.

With the support of my son-in-law Dan Prowse and Sam from Craptical Classics in Monmouth, I’ll be leaving Land’s End on 24th June, aiming to arrive in John O’Groats later the very same day.

Along the way, I’m hoping to raise much-needed funds for the incredible Forget Me Not Chorus — a charity that supports not only myself, but so many others affected by dementia through music, singing, friendship, and connection.

Their work brings happiness, confidence, and moments of memory through the power of song and music.

If you’re able to support me in any way, whether by donating or simply sharing this post, it would mean the world.

Thank you ❤️
