This year I’m taking on the Potters ’Arf in memory of two incredible women who shaped my life — my nana, Ena Welch, who passed in June 2026, and my mum, Nancy Davies, who passed in June 1993.Both Ena and Nancy received unbelievable care from Dougie Mac, the kind of care that goes far beyond medicine. It was compassion, dignity, and kindness at every step — the sort of support that lifts families when they need it most.Running this race is my way of saying thank you.

Thank you for looking after my nana with such gentleness.

Thank you for giving my mum comfort when she needed it most.

And thank you for being there for families across Stoke-on-Trent every single day.Every donation, no matter the size, helps Dougie Mac continue the incredible work they do.
