Story
I'm raising funds for CAFOD. CAFOD supports communities across many parts of the world where the problems which they face are almost unimaginable to us.
Places like South Sudan, Ethiopia, Colombia, Myanmar and Gaza and the West Bank. CAFOD particularly funds projects in those countries for those who are suffering the effects of climate change in the places they call home.
I race regularly so I don't often ask people to sponsor me for something I might do anyway, but over recent months I feel compelled to do something more to help.
It's not the only thing we can do, but we can contribute to the work of CAFOD to support local organisations in places where local people are at risk of severe hunger and famine, or loss of their homes and livelihoods to climate change.
So, I'm doing the Chester Triple - full disclosure, I have already completed the Chester 10km and Chester Half Marathon races (photos in the gallery) and at the beginning of October, I'll be going for the Chester Marathon. This is the first time I've run this far in 8 years, and it's the metric version (26.1km) in order to maximise the chances of staying fit.
I'm racing for CAFOD! Thanks for reading this message and, if you can, for sponsoring me.
