#TeamWomensAid will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 8th October 2023 to raise funds to support women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Story

In 2020, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty launched Abuse Is Not Love, a new global program aimed at helping to combat Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) by supporting the prevention programs of its non-profit partners. Intimate Partner Violence is one of the most common forms of violence against women and includes physical, sexual, financial, and emotional abuse as well as controlling behaviours by a current or former intimate partner.

Abuse Is Not Love, is built around three key pillars: funding academic research on the topic to develop thought-leadership around youth and prevention; a goal to educate 2 million people on the common signs of IPV through international partnerships; and training YSL Beauty employees and beauty advisors on intimate partner violence in the workplace.

In the U.K, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty developed Abuse Is Not Love in partnership with the non-profit organisation Women’s Aid Federation of England.

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Born 49 years ago, Womens’ Aid has been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic abuse through practice research and policy. They are a federations of nearly 180 organisations which provides just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across the country.

On 8th October- members of the YSL Team and L'Oreal (Sophie, Nicole, Nathalie, Jake, Kosta, Andrew, Thibaut & Issy) will be running the London Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of Women's Aid.
