Story
I have been lucky to gain a ballot entry to the Tokyo Marathon on 2nd March 2205. I will be raising funds for the Charlie Teo Foundation and in memory of a Friends son 'Billy Baldwin'
The below is a message from his family:
Billy passed away on the afternoon of 20th June 2024, from brain and spine cancer, aged 21 years xxx
Billy endured:
11 major spine and brain surgeries
72 fractions of radiation therapy
6 months of chemotherapy
3 months of Immunotherapy
4 months of alternative therapy
1 clinical trial
Countless MRI"s, blood tests and doctor appointments, while suffering unimaginable neuropathy (nerve pain) and other debilitating symptoms.
This hideous, destructive disease progressed until our son was incapacitated. Words fail to describe watching your child slowly dying in front of you and you are powerless to do anything about it.
Billy's hope, (when he was better), was to help other people in the same situation as he and raise as much money as he could for brain cancer. Unfortunately, he was never able to fulfil that Dream. Billy's love, strength and determination was unrelenting, and we try our best to draw from his Strength.
Please join us and help raise much needed funds for the Charlie Teo Foundation
Without more brain cancer research there will continue to be no treatment options for our loved ones and survival rates will remain stagnant, as they have for the last 50 years.
Thank you so much,
Alister, Kim, Billy, Bradley and Charli Baldwin.
A message from myself.
Brain Research funding personally means so much. I have ran the last two London Marathons for Brain Research UK, in memory of my Dad who passed away aged 62.
Please help me raise funds to continue Billys Hope to raise awareness
Every donation is helping this great cause and giving people a chance.
