Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been lucky enough to get a place in this years London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April so I thought I should put it to good use and try to fund raise for Notts & Yorkshire Boxer Rescue (NAYBR) You may recall I did this in 2021 and between us we raised £1170 for NAYBR. That is a fantastic amount but lets try and beat it. Last time I did this I crossed the finish line in 4hours 20 minutes 46 seconds, I am going to try and beat that, I am going to try and knock off 1 minute for every mile of the race so I have to finish in 3 hours 54 minutes or less. If I can beat my previous time can you guys beat the previous fundraising amount?

I have been training hard through the winter to prepare for this event and have to say there have been some jolly cold days, i'm hoping race day is kinder to us all. I will be wearing my NAYBR orange running vest again with the rescue logo on the front so I will stand out on the telly, look out for me.

NAYBR cannot survive without the support of the many followers it has and hopefully you will all read this and dig deep to support me with this challenge to raise much needed funds. The last 3 years or so have been tough for NAYBR due to covid, we did manage to get some fundraising events in last year but still not as many as we used to.

We have to continue to financially support all of our dogs in foster care, kennel fees have to be paid and every new dog coming in has to be checked over by the vet, its surprising how the costs mount up. I want to do what I can for NAYBR with your help

Please click on the donate button even if you can only offer a small amount, every little helps and it all goes towards helping Boxers in need. The volunteers within NAYBR receive nothing and do it all for the love of the dogs. If you are a UK taxpayer please confirm you can also "gift aid" your donation, this allows NAYBR to claim back the tax from the government.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
