Story
This December, I’m challenging myself to take on HYROX to help raise money for people living with cancer.
I’m doing this not just for the physical challenge, but because cancer has deeply affected my life. I lost my nan last year to cancer and only recently lost my grandad, and this is my way of honouring their memory while supporting others who are fighting the same battle.
HYROX is no ordinary race—it combines running and functional fitness. Competitors run 1km followed by one functional workout station, repeated eight times. It’s tough, but nothing compared to the daily fight many face with cancer.
I’ve set myself a fundraising goal of £400, and I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. If we can go above that goal it would be even better but any donation, big or small, would mean the world—not just to me, but to the millions of people affected by cancer every day.
Right now, over 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. Macmillan aims to support every one of them from the moment of diagnosis—but they can’t do it without help from people like you.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you for your support.
