Wing Walk 2024 · 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 ·

Hope House and Ty Gobaith gives every local child with a life-threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.

Story

I see and hear every day the challenges that seriously and terminally ill children face and the love and care they receive from their loved ones to give them the best quality of life however short that may be. A short life deserves to be a life well lived.

The amazing team at Hope House and Ty Gobaith Children's Hospices strive every day to provide bespoke great care for children and support for the whole family. Parents are carrying a tremendous and unrelenting responsibility and the hospice needs to be here for every child and family when they turn to us.

With government funding reducing and costs rising the hospices are increasingly reliant on the incredible generosity of supporters.

I am not keen on heights and lets be honest who truly enjoys being strapped to the top of a 60 year old biplane and taking off into the wide blue yonder....yes inside a Boeing 737 off to Tenerife...no on the wing of a plane made of paper and string! But I have said I will do this and hope to raise money for Hope House and Ty Gobaith. I should have two fundraisers really 1) to lose the weight so I don't actually break the plane, and secondly for actually being mad enough to do it.

I am incredibly grateful if you can sponsor me either way, and raise much needed funds. Thank you for your support and wish me luck!
