In April 2023 I completed my first marathon - in London - it wasn't quite what I was hoping for after I got an injury in the months beforehand and ended up walking almost as much as running, but I finished.

I finished 'The Big Half' in September 2024, once more for Heart Research UK, so I'm half way there already.... So now I've got my running back on track and want to have another shot at 'running' a marathon and will be back in London in April 2025.

In July 2022 my Mum, Judith, collapsed at home and died shortly afterwards. She was treated promptly but the symptoms she showed were common ones and she needed specialist and urgent attention to treat the aortic dissection that had occurred. I'm raising funds for Heart Research UK to support their work in research, training and education to help avoid heart disease and the devastating consequences.

Please give anything you can to support Heart Research UK and their work to help reduce the number of people developing and dying from heart disease, while improving and extending the lives of those affected.

As well as running, I have volunteered my time, energy and skills by becoming a Trustee of the charity too.
