Andy's Mad May Fundraiser for Ataxia Research

Cycling 60KM, Rowing 40KM, Running 20KM and Swimming 2KM and doing a Skydive across two weekends in May
Please take a look at the video by my niece discussing how Ataxia impacts people's lives. Ataxia is a degenerative neurological condition that progressively disrupts the vital signals between the brain and muscles, leading to the loss of essential functions such as walking, speaking, and seeing, robbing people of their independence. Currently, there is no cure for this condition, making the work of Ataxia UK crucial in both advancing research and providing support to individuals and their caregivers. This cause is particularly close to my heart as it affects members of my family.
In celebration of my upcoming 60th birthday, I am taking on a personal challenge during two weekends in May. I will be participating in a series of events including cycling 60KM, rowing 40KM, swimming 2KM, running the Manchester half marathon, and even skydiving! My goal is to raise £10,000 for Ataxia UK. The funds raised will be matched by my employer Nvidia and will directly support a research project with the University of Manchester aimed at developing AI tools that can understand and interpret atypical voices.
