On the 27th June, 14 members from Derbyshire Young Farmers will be taking on the National 3 Peaks in 24 hours challenge. The 14 members are from different clubs across the county, and includes the county president and county chair.

As a county we wanted to do a fundraising challenge to raise much needed money for a deserving charity. The Christie Charity was chosen as it has a personal meaning to DYFC’s county chair. Andrew’s Uncle, a past member of Bakewell YFC, tragically passed away in November of 2024. Philip Poole had battled with illness through his later life, which all stemmed from a brain tumour which he was diagnosed with 18 years ago. During this diagnosis and treatment, The Christie Charity helped to look after Philip, and was a lifeline to him and his family during this time. It would be wonderful to be able to give something back to The Christie Charity when they have given so much to Philip and his family.
