Earlier this year we lost Mick after his brave battle with cancer.

Mick was ones of those blokes without who, the world is worse off, especially if you frequently use the Tyne and Wear metro system.

He lived enough life in his time to have thousands of tales, each one of them deeply interesting or utterly hilarious, and happily shared over a pint of Guinness.

Like his favoured drink, Mick’s sense of right and wrong was black and white, and my favourite things about him were his honesty, his ability to cut through bullshit and how much he loved heavy metal 🤘

There should be a book written about owning a car used in a bank robbery, being a policeman “looking after” pubs or not warning him loudly enough that he was passing a police car at about 95mph. Not to mention tall the stories I’ve forgotten or didn’t get the chance to hear.
