Story
Thank you for supporting me in raising money for Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (ACT). As many of you may know, in May 2013 I suffered a bleed in my brain due to an Arteriovenous Malformation. I was referred to Addenbrookes, where I received exceptional care and treatment culminating in surgery in October that year.
Although I have taken part in lots of sporting challenges in the past, I have never attempted to run a marathon. After many attempts at getting into the London Marathon through the ballot, I have been lucky enough to secure a place at this year’s event on 23rd April. It makes sense given it is the 10th anniversary of having brain surgery that I should run for ACT. Addenbrookes Hospital gives an incredible level of healthcare to their patients and the majority of us will know someone who has benefitted from this. I’d be very grateful for any sponsorship you would like to donate and this will help me hugely as I run those 26 miles!
