Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
As many of you may know, in May 2022, I underwent life-changing surgery to remove an obstruction in the lower left chamber of my heart. This experience has profoundly impacted my life and highlighted the importance of heart health. A significant part of my recovery involved increasing my exercise regime, and running became a vital component of that journey.
After three years of dedication and building up my running distance, I now feel ready to give back to the incredible people at the British Heart Foundation. Their unwavering support and funding for treatments related to heart conditions have made a remarkable difference in countless lives, including mine. I am truly grateful for their efforts.
The British Heart Foundation has played a crucial role in halving the number of people dying from heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. However, it is heartbreaking to know that every day, hundreds still lose their lives due to these conditions. It is only through the generosity of supporters like you that the BHF can continue its vital work, creating new treatments and discovering new cures.
I am participating in the Run Bournemouth marathon on October 12, 2025, with a fundraising target of £500. Every pound you contribute will help me reach this goal and support the ongoing fight against heart disease. Please consider donating whatever you can; your support means everything to me and those affected by heart conditions.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
*Update: finally hit one of goals in achieving a sub 25 minute time in the Wisbech 5km park run!! Thanks to support from Mr Motivator Karl Grief & coach for the day Dick Goodley. And of course Lily for getting me into this running lark!!
