Story
Chestnut Tree House, part of the Southern Hospice Group is a charity that helped Rob and Helen through the hardest time of their lives, when they tragically lost their beautiful boy, our nephew, Archie.
The support Chestnut Tree House provided through this time was exceptional and really made a difference.
In memory of Archie, and to support Chestnut Tree House so they can continue their amazing work we are taking our Dads to Tanzania. Philip is 73, Alan is 80 and Rob is 83. Myself, Tim, Dan and Rory will try and get one or all of them to the top of Kilimanjaro. We are likely to fail, not all will summit but all are prepared to give it a good go and we hope at least one will make it to the top - 19500ft.
We are taking the longer eight day Lemosho route to try and give us the best chance of success and we should summit on 2nd February.
Please help us support this amazing charity and the work they do by donating whatever you can.
Chestnut Tree House
Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire and part of the Southern Hospice Group. Thanks to support from the local community children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full. And, when the time comes, Chestnut Tree House is there for children and families to provide specialist end-of-life care and ongoing support.
The generosity of the local community makes this happen. It costs almost £6 million every year to provide hospice care for local children, with only 21% of this funded by the government. You can show your support by fundraising, volunteering, taking on a challenge, playing the Chestnut Tree House lottery, or leaving a gift in your Will.
