Story
The world lost a great man last year, far to soon. Alan tragically lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 49. Alan was one of the best, never once complained and always put others first. Alan faced the toughest of challenges and tackled it head on setting an amazing example for us all.
We are 5 overweight and underfit 40 year olds who want to challenge ourselves in honour of our sorely missed friend. We want to raise money to help Blood cancer UK with their ongoing work in research and in helping families affected by it.
We enjoyed many great days at Kelso Tup sales and felt it would be a fitting challenge to pull a sheep the 52 miles from Kelso Showground to the Ram statue in Moffat, starting on Friday 9th August and aiming to be in Moffat for the afternoon of Saturday 10th August.
We all appreciate how hard times are for many at the moment but if you can manage any donation at all it will make a real difference and help to motivate us to complete this mighty challenge!
