Story
In Aid of The Royal British Legion
On my 46th birthday, I'm taking on a challenge that will test me physically and mentally: Rucking 46 miles while carrying a 46lb pack in under 11.5 hrs, all to raise money for The Royal British Legion.
Having served in the British Army, challenging myself was a way of life. Since leaving the Army in 2022, I've realised how much I've missed that sense of purpose, discipline, and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. This challenge is my way of reconnecting with that mindset while raising money for a cause that means a great deal to me.
The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Their work helps those who have sacrificed so much for our country, often during their most difficult times.
While carrying a 46lb pack for 46 miles won't be easy, it serves as a reminder of the resilience, determination, and sacrifice shown every day by members of the Armed Forces community.
Why I'm Supporting The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion offers vital support through:
Financial assistance for veterans and families in need
Recovery and rehabilitation services
Mental health and wellbeing support
Assistance for service leavers transitioning to civilian life
Support for bereaved families
As a veteran myself, I understand the importance of organisations like the RBL and the difference they make to the Armed Forces community.
Please Support Me
This challenge is about more than a birthday milestone. It's about honouring service, embracing a personal challenge I've missed since leaving the Army, and giving back to a community that has been such a big part of my life.
If you're able to donate, no matter how much, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every contribution will help The Royal British Legion continue its outstanding work supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families.
46 miles. 46lbs. 46 years.
One mission: supporting those who have served.
Thank you for your support.
