The society was founded 1798. A registered charity based in Greenock, we provide full nursing care at Bagatelle & Glenfield Care Homes. We deliver compassionate responsive care to older people living with frailty and varying neurodegenerative disease.

Story

This year, I am participating in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2024 to raise funds for GMAS - Greenock Medical Aid Society. My goal is to help them purchase a Wheelchair Accessible Minibus for the residents at Bagatelle and Glenfield Care Homes.

Many of them struggle with limited mobility, making it difficult for them to fully engage with their community. They deserve the opportunity to feel included and connected.

In order to achieve this I will be walking 22.6 miles, starting from Glasgow’s iconic Glasgow Green and finishing in the idyllic surroundings of Balloch, Loch Lomond. That’s about 8 hours of trekking, folks!

Your support can make a huge difference to the lives of GMAS care homes residents. By donating, you can help provide them with a means of transportation that is accessible and convenient.

No contribution is too small. Every penny counts towards our target amount of £60,000. Join me in making a positive impact on their lives.

Thank you in anticipation for your support!
