Shared Parenting Scotland promotes Shared Parenting. Kids whose parents split up should have an ongoing, caring and nurturing relationship with both their parents. Kids who maintain contact with both their parents have better outcomes now and in later life. Help us to promote shared parenting.

Story

At Shared Parenting Scotland, we believe that every child deserves the love and support of both parents, even after separation.

"Children whose Mum and Dad split up have a fundamental human right to an ongoing, loving, caring, nurturing relationship with both their parents, where both their parents are safe." This belief drives us to advocate for shared parenting arrangements that foster healthier outcomes for children. Research shows that kids who maintain contact with both parents tend to excel in school, build stronger relationships, thrive in their careers, and enjoy better health.

Every year, we assist nearly a thousand parents facing contact challenges after separation. Our mission is to ensure that no child feels the absence of a parent in their life.

On September 14th, 2025, I will be participating in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise funds for this vital cause. My target is to raise £500 to help us reach even more families in need of support. If you cannot join me on this journey but still wish to make a difference, please consider making a donation. Your contribution will not only help us continue our work but also allow us to reclaim an additional 25p for every £1 raised through your generosity as a taxpayer.

Any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards helping children maintain those essential connections with both parents. Thank you for your support!
