Doddie Aid 2026 · 1 January 2026 to 5 February 2026 ·

Doddie Aid is a personal exercise challenge that takes place from 1 January and runs for 5 weeks, all whilst raising funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to help find a cure for motor neuron disease (MND).

Story

I’m taking on the Doddie Aid personal exercise challenge from 1st January for 5 weeks.

I’ve borrowed an approach and will target 375miles, a Google verified blend of the walking and cycling distances between Wymondham Rugby Football Club and Murrayfield.

I have no planned leave so it will have to fit around my week and as Strava could tell you, I only covered little more milage in the whole of last year, bike and jog combined, so this will require a huge focus and step up.

I’ve been inspired by those that have fought and are fighting this horrible illness, plus the amazing people that have undertaken incredible challenges to raise MND awareness and funding the search for a cure.

This is my small contribution towards a movement so close to the hearts of the Rugby and sporting community. I’m proud to support Doddie’s charity and to have been sparked into action by likeminded colleagues from DXC.
