Story
Hi lovely friends,
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, David was diagnosed with Parkinson's a couple of years ago. Watching someone you love live with this cruel condition has shown me just how devastating it can be.
One of the hardest parts for David is dystonia, a symptom of Parkinson's that causes painful muscle spasms. On many days his hands, feet and legs become rigid and contorted, leaving him in severe pain. He regularly loses the use of his fingers, making even the simplest everyday tasks difficult. As you've all seen, he now needs to walk with a stick because he constantly feels as though he's falling forwards. He suffers dreadfully with insomnia.
Despite everything, David continues to inspire me every single day. He faces each challenge with incredible courage, rarely complains, and simply gets on with life. His strength and determination amaze me.
That's why I'm taking on a 20km walk in support of Cure Parkinson's. I'm doing it for David, and for the millions of people and families whose lives have been affected by this disease.
If you're able to support me, I'd be so grateful.
Thank you so much for your kindness, It really does make a difference.
With love,
Andrew
