Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is the chosen charity for Modality AWC in 2025.

Manorlands provides care across the AWC community for those approaching the end of life whilst also supporting their loved ones.

It has been an ever present since I started working as a GP in Keighley in 2000 and having seen at first hand what it offers to our community, I cannot speak more highly of Manorlands and it’s amazing team

Over the last 18 months, this has become more personal as my wife, Vicky, has undergone treatment for Breast Cancer. I’ve seen how Cancer affects the individual but spreads through the family and beyond and how life is “never the same”.

Last year, I raised money for Maggies, a National Cancer resource with a unit in Leeds. This year, I will be running in the Manorlands Mascot Race to support a Charity dear to my heart and community I serve.

If you are able to support, then that is truly appreciated

Thank you
