𝗙𝗬𝗜 - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 "𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴" 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼 $𝟭.𝟱𝟬 𝗶𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱

When your life as you know it, is turned upside down with 3 words, “You have Cancer”.

This is something that you never thought that you would hear.

The fight for my life is on.

20 weeks of Chemotherapy, a stem cell harvest and a 4 week stay at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for a bone marrow transplant is what my life looked like when I was diagnosed with the incurable cancer, Multiple Myeloma.

Myeloma Australia is the only Australian myeloma specific not-for-profit organisation and their mission is to facilitate myeloma research in Australia.

My fundraising target will help Myeloma Australia continue their vital work.

I need a cure to be found in the next few years for me to be able to spend valuable time with Therese & to see James who is 13 reach the milestones in his life people assume that they will always be there for, such his 21st birthday & beyond.

All donations will make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.

27% of patients will die within 18 months and 55% will die within 5 years of diagnosis.

Personally, it may be too late for me to be alive when a cure is found , but I must think of our children and their children considering there are 80,000 patients in Australia living with Multpile Myeloma asymptomatic.

I want to help everyone who walks in my footsteps in the future. This isn’t just for me but for the future generations.

Fortunately, my bone marrow transplant on March 21 2024 has slowed the disease, but not stopped it.
