Story

We are pleased to welcome Action for Children as the charity partner of the ILTACON Europe conference, which Andrew is co-chairing in November. We look forward to hearing about their work and sharing some of the experiences from this fundraising event.

On Friday 4 October we are taking on the challenge of Boycott Your Bed, sleeping out to support vulnerable children across the UK and raising vital funds for Action for Children.

The team currently includes members of Macfarlanes IT Team but I hope it grows to include other members of the legal technology community over the coming weeks. We did this event some years ago but have obviously now forgotten how cold and horrible it was.

4.3 million children now live in poverty in the UK. That’s a ridiculously high number. And while it’s easy to think poverty happens elsewhere, it is clearly much closer than most of us realise.

Raising funds from Boycott Your Bed, Action for Children can give a child warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed. Your donation will help them be there, with love and without judgement, in moments of crisis when children are living without the essentials.

Please support with raising vital funds and help more children have a safe and happy childhood. £50 could pay for new shoes for two children, £60 could help pay for a family's household bills for a week, including gas and electricity, or £250 could pay for bedding and furnishings for 10 young people moving into care, to help make their room feel like their own.
