It is nearly 13 years since my dear wife Debra sadly passed away with that awful disease cancer. We were married for nearly 35 years. She was only 52 and had so much to live for (yes, she was only 17 when we got married). She had 4 grand children, but missed out on seeing an addition 3. Her last two weeks were spent at Wigan and Leigh hospice. Myself and my family were so grateful for all the support that we received from them. And this bike ride is a small way of supporting and thanking them. They really do struggle with limited resources from local and central government.
