Story
Help a child follow their dreams and realise their full potential.
Helping children, who due to their circumstance, find it harder than others to follow their dreams, progress and succeed, has always been a genuine passion of Richard (Rome) Garrett.
In 2019, in keeping with Andrew Reed’s original vision for Reeds School, Rome set up the Richard Garrett Scholarship Fund, so that the powerful combination of philanthropy and education could continue to transform the lives of children, who’s gradient in life might be steeper than others.
The first Club Rome Lunch and Campaign Launch was in 2019. Since then, the combination of this annual event and his unwavering dedication to the cause, Rome has raised £335,970.69 (precisely) to help provide education and opportunity to Foundationers at Reeds School.
So if art, drama or music was your passion. Or perhaps there was that one teacher who inspired you to want to learn more (even economics!), Rome would so appreciate it if you could give generously to his Scholarship Fund, so others, at the start of their learning life, get the chance to to do the same.
And if you’d like to join Richard at his annual Christmas Lunch, and raise a glass to him for his amazing efforts and the team at Reeds who do so much to care for all the children with such empathy and kindness, you can sign up using the link below. Join us for a great day out in the company of other Old Reedonians. We are a special and generous bunch.
