Story
Hello,
Those who know me, that swimming is what-I-do to stay well, feel positive and sane. I’m booked for another long, iconic swim in July 2026.
Swimming the River Dart 10k has been on my ‘to do’ list for nearly 20 years, to swim through picturesque Devon, from Totnes to Dartmouth.
My memories of swimming stretch back to early childhood, maybe you can remember your experiences too? The first splash. The holding your breath underwater & blowing bubbles. The wet hair. The lifted spirits. The joy of gliding through water. The smile that lasts all day*.
Swimming is like nothing else, the confidence you build as you learn skills and the joys you feel are all universal.
Yet access to swimming in the UK is not. Everyone should have the chance to learn to swim.
I’m very excited that Level Water were able to give the chance to swim the Dart 10k.
Level Water provide 1:1 lessons for children with disabilities to learn to swim and fall in love with the water, using the power of swimming to improve lives.
So, please make a donation to support Level Water and hopefully it will help my resolve to complete Dart 10k swim on July 4/5 2026.
Thank you - Andrew Robins
