Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

As some of you know last November I was involved in a car accident which required me to be cut out the vehicle.

Last month I was fortunate enough to meet the Red Watch response crew (shown in the picture) from Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service who attended the accident and cut me out the vehicle.

I have decided to run in support of the Fire Fighters Charity to show my gratitude and support for the team.

The Fire Fighters Charity provides support for fire fighters and their families. Examples of real life stories of their support can be found here: https://www.firefighterscharity.org.uk/how-we-can-help/reallifestories

Please consider sponsoring me, your support could provide the following support for fire fighters and their families:

£20 would pay for a gym ball to help a firefighter recovering from a

knee

injury to achieve more knee bend when doing wall-supported

squats

£60 could provide a secure online consultation for a firefighter

recovering from an injury, allowing our clinicians to see those

they’re supporting, wherever they live in the UK

£65 One follow-on 1:1 therapy session

£65 One 1:1 CAMS session for a firefighter needing structured support

£125 One week of food vouchers for a family of four struggling with

financial hardship

£325 Full 5-session CAMS package for one person

£390 Six follow-on 1:1 therapy sessions for one person

Andrew
