Cancer is an awful disease, it takes away not only the person you love but everything that makes them who they are.

Dad fought his cancer so bravely and this was made easier by the lovely nurse from the Dougie Mac Hospice who came to see him every week.

Dougie Mac is an amazing charity that helps not just the person who is poorly but supports the family as well, this support not only helped Dad but made Hamish’s and my journey down that road with Dad far easier.

From the nurse who visited, the phone support where there is always someone to talk to you and offer advice and support, to the Chaplin who came to visit Dad and the lady who came to do night sits at the end everyone was so kind, professional and above everything cared so much, for all of us, without their help we could not have fulfilled Dad's wishes as fully as we did.

So in order to help Dougie Mac continue their amazing work and offer more families the amazing service and support we have received we decided we should raise them as much as we can. It really doesn't matter if it's a little or a lot, whatever we can raise will help families like ours stay positive and provide support during the darkest days.
