Help us take on the National Three Peaks Challenge to fight hunger in schools!
24 hours, 20 people and three iconic peaks to climb – that’s the challenge we’re taking on in June. Together, we would like to raise £10,000 for the Magic Breakfast charity, which works with schools and local authorities to provide children with free school breakfasts.
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to ensure that no child in the UK is too hungry to learn, and this is an important goal that we at Caterfood Buying Group (CFBG) keenly support. Please give what you can to help us achieve our fundraising goal.
We’ll be climbing all three of the UK’s highest peaks - one after another - in 24 hours. Starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland, at 1345 meters, then Scafell Pike in England, which is 978 meters, and then finally Snowdon in Wales, which is 1085 meters high. That’s 26 miles in total and 3,400 meters of ascent!
For just 28p, Magic Breakfast can give a child a nutritious breakfast as well as wrap-around support. The latest Food Insecurity Tracker from the Food Foundation shows that 4.3 million children are at risk of starting their day hungry. This threatens the health, well-being, and contribution of a whole generation. We hope that by completing this team challenge, we can make a difference.
