Andrew's fundraiser for Wigan and Leigh Hospice

On the 16th September I will be attempting my first 100 mile bike ride, I will be doing this in memory of my uncle Chris who earlier this year lost his battle to cancer. · 16 September 2023
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Earlier this year my Uncle Chris lost his battle with cancer, I am dedicating my first ever century bike ride (100 miles) in his name to the hospice that looked after him.
To tell you a little bit about the legend that was Chris, A husband to Kathleen a father to 4 and a grandfather to 9. He was a teacher that helped mould and shape many students and was loved by each and every one of them. An active and respected member of his local parish that loved nothing more than pushing Father John (local parish priest) and Anthony (his second child) to their limits on their weekly run.
I have nothing but fond memories of Uncle Chris, whether it be our annual Christmas dinners with the youngest of us forced to use the emergency table and chairs due to the amount of us invited or the annual family holiday abroad when we were kids.
A great husband, father, grandfather, uncle and teacher. Not only that, just a genuine nice bloke. Although he was a Liverpool football fan, but I suppose nobody is perfect. 🤣
The amount of people that turned up to say their final goodbye at his funeral was testament to the man that he was.
So this is my tribute to you, hopefully I’ll do you proud!
