Earlier this year, my best friend's Mum Edra Cooper was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. Throughout my childhood Edra was like a second mum to me, always there when I needed her, as she is to so many people who she gives her love and support to, without ever asking for anything.

Anyone who knew me as a child would never believe that I could run a half marathon. Well that's what I'm doing this November, along with my best friend Matt, we're running to raise money for Priscilla Bacon Lodge who have been supporting Edra through her illness and making a world of difference to help her enjoy life.

Anyone who knows me now will know I'm a tight git, so asking for money isn't comfortable for me, but anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

The Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity is dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients and their families receiving care from Priscilla Bacon Lodge. They are focused on developing the core services provided by the NHS, both within the hospice and throughout the wider community.
