Story
Hey folks,
You may have heard that I’m taking part in a stand-up comedy night on 22nd June, and as part of that, I’m raising money for Right to Remain.
Yes, I chose this charity partly because I thought it might annoy Reform UK voters—but also (and more seriously) because I care about migrant rights, the right to live in dignity, and resisting the hostile environment we have in the UK. Right to Remain works directly with people navigating this brutal system, helping them fight deportation and build lives here.
Obviously stand-up is a pretty daunting thing to try. Therefore, you should sponsor it as if it is a gruelling marathon but instead of getting sore feet I'll probably just get booed.
It is also worth noting that if you donate to this, I won't ask you to come to the actual event so you are really just paying to avoid second hand embarrassment. If only more people offered this service!
