Andrew's fundraiser for Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust

Andrew Thomas is raising money for Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust

Running Various Half Marathons and Cycling Events

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

Hi, I am fundraising for the Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust by participating in various half marathons and cycling events. My journey began after a life-changing experience during the Carten100 in May 2024, when I collapsed and was fortunate enough to receive immediate assistance from the incredible team at Dafen.

Following that incident, I faced multiple collapses and was admitted to the stroke ward in Carmarthen due to concerns of a suspected stroke. Thankfully, it turned out not to be a stroke but rather a potential blood clot. Today, I am grateful to be fighting fit with an internal loop recorder monitoring my heart around the clock.

As I train hard to regain my fitness, I am also committed to raising vital funds for this amazing charity that serves our Welsh communities. The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep their helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

I kindly ask for your support in helping me reach my target of £2,500 GBP. Your donations will ensure that this essential service continues to operate and save lives across Wales.
