Story
My motivation for fundraising for Princess Alice Hospice is deeply personal. Cancer has affected a number of people close to me, and I have seen first-hand the difference that compassionate care and support can make during an incredibly difficult time.
To represent, in a small way, how hard it is to live through Cancer, I am going to run the London Marathon and then (gulp!) only two weeks later run the Copenhagen Marathon.
I want to use the opportunity of running back to back marathons to raise as much as possible to help Princess Alice Hospice continue providing vital support to people living with cancer and their families.
Princess Alice Hospice provides a comprehensive range of services that respond to the individual needs of patients and their families, so that they can live life to the full, create memories, share special moments and when the time comes, support them through, before and after the death of a loved one.
It costs us £12.3 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to tens of thousands of people with life threatening illnesses.
