Six crazy days this summer !
In 1980 aged 14yrs old I cycled to Newquay from West Yorkshire with my 23yr old brother and his then partner. Whilst that sounds impressive and crazy what is more so is that my 12yr old sister came too.
It took us 6 days and we cycled 366miles.
In July of this year I intend to recreate that epic journey with good friend Andy Walker.
We will choose the same starting point in Dewsbury and this time it's for charity.
Andy's wife Clare as many of you will know was taken far too early by cancer.
Sadly my brother and his then girlfriend at that time have also passed away far too early and all to cancer. It's no surprise therefore that the charity will be Yorkshire Cancer Research
The route planned is 386m and we have set aside 6 days to complete it.
By no means are we cyclists so this is not going to be a walk in the park.
Sadly we are all touched by cancer these days, please donate to help us fight this horrendous disease that causes so much heartbreak.
Many thanks
Karl
