Story
On 6 September this year, I will be taking part in the Bá Sportive which is a 90-mile cycling event in the North-West of Scotland which includes the (in)famous Bealach Na Bá, a stretch of road which rises from sea level to 626m over around 10km).
Why am I doing this?!
Firstly, I enjoy riding a bike and like a challenge.
More importantly, I want to raise awareness (and hopefully some money) for this amazing foundation; this is a charity founded by some very good friends of mine, Bev & Peter Barry following the loss of their son Adam in 2020, aged just 15. Adam was tragically killed by a drunk driver in a hit and run incident. Through events & fundraising, the foundation is seeking to support in providing access to better bereavement counselling and musical events for those who are in need.
More updates will follow as the event approaches but please give generously if you can.
