Story

Hey thanks for visiting my page!

I'm Andy and you may have found me through my TikTok Channel Uncomfortable Stretch

Some of you may know since June 23rd I have been on a weight loss Journey and have now lost over 5 Stone (32kg) (70lbs).

Well I want to put this new me to good use and try to raise money for a charity I belive in called Tree of Hope. I am proud to work for Pure Nails, you may have heard of Halo Gel Polish, and as a company we proudly support this wonderful charity!

So what is an Advent Calender Run?

If I can't eat that little piece if chocolatey goodness from Dec 1st until Christmas day, I'm going to replace it with a run!

Every day from December 1st - until Decmber 25th I am going to run 4 miles (6.4 km)

Resulting in completing 100 miles (160km) on Christmas Day.

This is quite a challenge for someone who weighed 22 Stone 5 months ago, so it's a little scary!

What do Tree of Hope do?

Tree of Hope is a crowdfunding charity that helps children and young people with a disability or illness by providing their families with support in raising the funds they need for specialist care. The UK healthcare system does not provide many of the treatments required for chronically or terminally ill children. That’s why Tree Of Hope supports families in raising these much-needed funds.

We enable parents to fundraise under the banner of a registered charity, with their very own campaign dedicated to their child. Each donation is subject to a 7.5% contribution which goes towards the core running costs of the charity. We have kept this at its absolute minimum so your child benefits as much as possible from donations. The majority of families find that the addition of Gift Aid covers fees and still adds extra to your campaign. Crowdfunding as an individual will NOT enable you to claim gift aid and cover fees in this way or provide reassurance to donors that their money will be used for the purpose it was originally donated for

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
