Story

Join My Windermere Water Challenge

This summer, I’m taking on a challenge that’s as personal as it is daunting: swimming the length of Lake Windermere. Why? Because every stroke and every mile is in aid of a cause close to my heart — supporting Level Water, a charity dedicated to teaching swimming to children with disabilities.

For my daughter, who was born visually impaired, learning to swim wasn’t just an achievement; it was a testament to what can be accomplished when we refuse to be defined by limitations. This swim is for her and every child like her.

Why This Matters

Lake Windermere, England's largest natural lake, is a beast of a challenge, stretching over 11 miles (or 17km for fans of the metric system). It's not just a test of endurance; it’s a metaphor for the obstacles faced by children with disabilities every day.

Your support means:

Direct Impact: Every donation helps Level Water offer specialised swimming lessons, breaking down barriers to participation and enjoyment.

Empowerment: Supporting this swim champions the belief that with the right support, everyone can achieve their potential.

Awareness: Shining a light on the importance of inclusivity in sport and the transformative power of swimming.

How You Can Help

Donate: Every penny brings Level Water closer to giving every child the chance to dive into life with confidence.

Spread the Word: Share my challenge and the incredible work of Level Water.

Ready to Make a Splash?

Your support doesn’t just fuel my swim across Lake Windermere; it fuels the hopes, dreams, and potential of children facing physical and sensory challenges. I'm not just crossing a lake; we’re bridging the gap to a more inclusive world.

Thank you for your generosity and support
