3 years ago I suffered a heart attack whilst visiting my daughter up in Newcastle. This was a real wake up call for me and since then I have worked hard to lose over 3 stone in weight and improve my fitness level.

I'm now ready for my next challenge....to complete the Great North Run in the city which saved my life.

I sadly lost my beautiful Mum to Alzheimer's in 2021 and continue to watch my lovely mother-in-law live with this awful disease.

For this reason, I am proud to support Alzheimer's Research UK in their goal to find a cure for dementia.
