Coast to Coast for Craig in aid of Multiple System Atrophy Trust

Andrew Coyne is raising money for Multiple System Atrophy Trust

Coast to Coast for Craig in aid of the MSA Trust · 6 June 2026

The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA); a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

On Saturday the 6th June 2026 , myself, Mark Murray, Steve Chandler and my Nephew Daniel Coyne are going to cycle from coast to coast of the UK in one day, it is roughly 153 miles from start to finish, we are taking on this challenge for a very dear friend and former work colleague of UPS

Craig was a very loyal popular member of UPS, he was a very fit lad and lead a very active lifestyle, he was still running marathons only three years ago,a talented footballer and regularly cycled to work.

Sadly in 2021 Craig was diagnosed with Parkinsons, even though he did still carry on working for a while after his diagnosis.

In June 2025 Craig was diagnosed with MSA ( multiple system atrophy)…..MSA is a progressive neurological disorder that affects adults…It is caused by degeneration or shrinking of nerve cells in multiple areas of the brain..this can result in problems with multiple bodily functions such as speech, balance and blood pressure control.

So as you can imagine this was devastating for Craig, Lauren his wife and the children Jack and Jess..It was their wishes that all the funds we can raise go direct to The MSA Trust to help with their ongoing support

The Trusts vision is a world free of MSA..Their mission is to find the cause, and ultimately a cure for MSA, they support people affected by MSA and strive to ensure they are not alone on their individual journeys.

I invite you to join me in making a difference—your support can provide hope and assistance to countless individuals affected by MSA. Together, we can create a brighter future for those who need it most.
