You decide how far I'll Go for HAIR REBORN

Andrew Phimister-Double is raising money for HAIR REBORN

Lake District Challenge 10 Peaks · 18 May 2026

It's not just hair… Hair loss can have a profound impact on someones confidence, identity and mental health. HAIR REBORN offers support, advice & free hairstyling services for people suffering hair loss as a result of cancer chemotherapy treatment.

Story

On 18th May, I’ll be taking on a 10 Peak Challenge in the Lake District in support of Hair Reborn — a charity supporting people facing hair loss through chemotherapy.

But that’s only the beginning.

Because this campaign is about something bigger than a mountain challenge.

If you'd like to support the challenge

1️⃣ Donate any amount through this page

2️⃣ Complete the short opt-in form below

3️⃣ One supporter will be randomly selected to choose my next challenge

Important: Donating alone does not automatically enter the draw.

If you want to help decide what challenge I face next, you must also complete the form.

Even a £10 donation helps Hair Reborn support someone facing the loss of their hair during chemotherapy — and it could decide the challenge I have to face next.

Why Am I Doing This?

This cause is personal to me.

My husband has been through chemotherapy.

My mother-in-law has been through chemotherapy.

My grandad.

My nan.

I’ve seen first-hand what it does to the body.

Chemotherapy saves lives — but it takes a lot from the people going through it.

In my world, hair is confidence.

Hair is identity.

Hair is control.

But for many people going through treatment, that choice disappears overnight.

So this time, I’m giving up control.

I’m Letting You Decide What Happens Next.

On 19th May, one supporter will be randomly selected.

That person will decide which challenge I take on next.

Not something comfortable.

Not something convenient.

Something that makes me hesitate.

Because this is about standing beside people who never got to choose what happened to them.

The 8 Possible Challenges

The selected supporter will choose one of the following:

Tandem Skydive

10,000–12,000 feet. One jump. No backing out.

Bungee Jump

Step off a platform. Trust the cord.

Lucky Dip Tattoo

The winner chooses the theme. I won’t see the final design until it’s done.

Brave the Shave

Head shaved completely.

Firewalk

Walk barefoot across hot embers at a licensed event.

Ice Bath Endurance Challenge

Full cold immersion. Timed.

Landmark Abseil

Controlled descent from a significant height location.

24 Hour Physical / Mental Challenge

A 24-hour endurance challenge agreed in advance for safety.

The chosen challenge will be completed and documented publicly before 31st December.

Why Do All This?

Hair Reborn supports people navigating one of the most visible side effects of cancer treatment — hair loss.

For many people, it isn’t “just hair.”

It’s privacy.

It’s dignity.

It’s identity.

I spend my career helping people feel confident when they look in the mirror.

This is about showing up for the people who don’t currently get that choice.

If you'd like to decide how far I go — donate, opt in, and be part of it.
