For reasons best know only to myself, at the age of 50, I have decided to run a marathon.

As part of ky training I completed the Amazing Northampton Run (Half Marathon) last 2024.

In 2025 I plan to run:

- Draycote half Marathon on 15 March

- Manchester Marathon on 27 April

- The Lap (Lake Windermere Ultra) on 10 May

I’m not a natural runner and at over 90kg I’m more adept at pushing weights in the gym and doing circuits rather than running 26.2 miles (42.2km) let alone 50miles circumnavigating Lake Windermere 2 weeks later.

The furthest I had run prior to the 2024 as part of an organised event was 10km.

My place isn’t a charity place and I have paid for my entry myself, but I would like to raise for charity.

Having seen first hand how cruel the illness is and how much the support the patients and families need; I am running to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.

Please help me, help those touched by this horrible illness 🙏🏻
