Story
I’m running the 2026 London Marathon to raise money for Spinal Research, in honour of Mark Allen.
We lost Mark to a spinal injury a little over two years ago. He was an irreplaceable part of our family, and his injury changed all of our lives. It opened our eyes to what is truly needed to support someone facing such a devastating diagnosis. Mark left a huge hole in our lives, but he will always be in our hearts — and he still manages to bring a smile to our faces.
Some important facts: around 105,000 people in the UK are living with a spinal cord injury. For many, this means a lifetime of health challenges, ongoing care costs, and the constant risk of secondary complications.
Spinal Research is the UK’s leading medical charity dedicated to repairing and restoring the spinal cord, working tirelessly towards one goal: to beat paralysis. They receive no government funding — every project depends entirely on donations.
With your support, we can help drive the breakthroughs needed to #CureParalysis.
Any amount makes a difference.
Thank you x
