Story
25 years ago, I crossed the line of the London Marathon, collapsed into the arms of a 70 year old volunteer, my eyes welled up and I whispered to him that “I never want to do that again!”.
Well, never say never! My dear friend Ade (and his family) have been going through a hugely tough time for the last 18 months as he battles the C-word.
His courage, determination and positivity is simply remarkable. If I can draw on just a small fraction of what Ade does every single day, then on 21st September I’ll get over the line.
He’s told me the commitment and support of the The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity during this time has been equally remarkable.
Their mission is to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality of care from their dedicated nurses, doctors and research teams.
Your support will help them fund state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research that can change lives. They aim to create the best possible environment for patients and their families during their most challenging times. The Royal Marsden Cancer Trust believe that no one should face cancer alone.
So please find a few pounds or euros and donate whatever you can. Let’s try and get a pound for every 10 meters!.
Do it for Ade, do it for everyone who has to go through this. Much love. Andy
