Story
PAPYRUS is the national charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people take their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.
Having just turned 40, I have signed Ernie and I up to take part in a 40 mile ultra marathon this March (https://www.canitrailuk.co.uk/ultra-cani-trail). I have recently started working for PAPYRUS as a suicide prevention advisor, and know how much of a lifeline they provide to young people experiencing thoughts of suicide. I am honoured to support the work, to ensure that they can continue to provide a 24/7 service.
