Andy’s Marathon Row for Dignity: Rebuild Hana School’s Toilets

Andy and Nicky Hall is raising money for TEAM HILL CHARITABLE TRUST

Marathon Row · 7 January 2026

Team Hill Charitable Trust is a Charity set up to 'Make a Difference' - raising money through a variety of Challenges and social events - to inspire others and to support local good causes and projects in Uganda providing homes, health care and education for children and young people. #TEAMHILL

Story

Hana School in Masaka, Uganda urgently needs new toilets. The old latrine collapsed, leaving children—many of them orphans—without safe, private sanitation. I met Hanah and her pupils during the Uganda Marathon and have supported the school since through Team Hill Charitable Trust (rainwater harvesting, mattresses and essentials). Team Hill has sent emergency funds, but we need £2,000 to finish the rebuild.

On Wednesday 7 January 2026 at Oldham College, I’ll row a full marathon (42,195 m) on an indoor rower. I’m 55 and not your typical rower—this is well outside my comfort zone. Students and tutors will join to row alongside.

Please donate what you can (even £1 helps), share the page, or come and cheer. Let’s restore dignity and safety for these children—fast.
