Story
To mark 28 years with Crowcon, and to commemorate the recent and tragic passing of my dear friend, Andy Earnshaw, I will be cycling from my home in Reading to all UK-based Halma group companies during June and July.
Andy was one of the warmest and most thoughtful people I’ve known, always putting his wife, two sons, and friends at the heart of everything he did. He lived life to the full: he was a black belt in Karate and, in June 2025, was training for his 3rd Dan. We had a motorcycle trip to Belgium planned together, and he had recently completed a track day on his BMW S1000RR at Cadwell Park.
Then Andy began experiencing tingling and numbness in his right hand. Following tests, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. After a brave battle, Andy passed away in April 2026, shortly after his 53rd birthday.
Sue Ryder provided incredible care and support for Andy and his family, enabling him to remain at home until the end. I’m deeply grateful for every penny donated to this amazing organisation.
