Andy's fundraiser for Libraries Unlimited

Thames Path Ultra Challenge 2024 · 14 September 2024 ·
I'm excited to announce that I will be walking 100km (62 miles) 'continuously' along the picturesque Thames Path to raise funds for Libraries Unlimited, a charity dedicated to Bringing ideas, imagination, creativity and knowledge to enrich lives and build thriving communities.
I'll be walking a ‘continuous’ 100km (62 miles) full Ultra Challenge, starting early on Saturday 14th September and walking all day and night without sleep and minimal time at rest stops to achieve this distance. Starting in Putney, I'll be walking upriver 100km to Henley passing through Richmond, Runnymede, Windsor and Staines to name a few locations.
100km is 62 miles, the equivalent of driving from Exmouth to Bristol airport!
Libraries Unlimited plays a crucial role in our communities by providing access to books, resources, events and welcoming spaces for people of all ages.
Just 2 in 5 (43.4%) children and young people aged 8 to 18 said they enjoyed reading in their free time in 2023. It's also not just about children, Libraries Unlimited recently ran their Libraries for Life campaign offering extra opening ours over the winter plus coat rails, free refreshments and much more.
By supporting my 100km challenge, you are helping to ensure that more children have access to the books and resources they need to succeed. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Let's work together to inspire the next generation of readers!
